Liquid Paraffin / Milk Of Magnesia is used for Occasional constipation, Temporary relief of constipation, Painful conditions of the anus, Painful conditions of rectum, Heartburn, Upset stomach and other conditions. Sodium picosulfate directly increases the motility of the intestine, thereby making the stool soft and easier to pass.

Liquid Paraffin / Milk Of Magnesia is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

• Occasional constipation

• Temporary relief of constipation

• Painful conditions of the anus

• Painful conditions of rectum

• Heartburn

• Upset stomach

• Indigestion

Sodium Picosulfate is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

• Constipation

• Emptying the bowel before colonoscopy

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur in medicines that contain Liquid Paraffin / Milk Of Magnesia. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.

• Anal irritation

• Inflammation

• Cardiac arrhythmias

• Respiratory depression

• Cardiac arrest

• Loss of full control of bodily movements

• Fainting

• Loose motions

• Nausea

• Abdominal cramps

• Skin rash due to drug rejection

• Abdominal pain

Before using Liquid Paraffin / Milk Of Magnesia, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Hypersensitivity toany ingredient   is a contraindication. In addition,should not be used if you have the following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity

• Children aged below 10 years

• First trimester of pregnancy

• Intestinal obstruction
