Okavit 200ml  is used for Liver problems due to fat accumulation, Improved liver function, High blood sugar, Gall bladder disorders, High blood levels of fats, High blood levels of cholesterol and other conditions. This salt combination may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Okavit is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

Liver problems due to fat accumulation

•         Improved liver function
•         High blood sugar
•         Gall bladder disorders
•         High blood levels of fats
•         High blood levels of cholesterol
•         Liver damage due to toxic effects
•         Problems of gallbladder
•         Neurological diseases

Okavit  works by performing the following functions:

•         Protecting liver cells from toxic chemicals and drugs and enhance the effects of estrogen.
•        Acting as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) agonists; promoting adipogenesis, lipogenesis and hepatic lipid accumulation.

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur in medicines that contain Silymarin and Lecithin. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.

•        Indigestion
•          Loose motion
•          Bloating
•          Urge to vomit
•          Stomach pain
•          Loss of appetite

Before using Okavit, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.

•          Avoid use in children
•          Children need medical supervision
•          Have malabsorption problems, diarrhea or excess fats in feces
•          Pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Okavit may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Okavit may interact with the following drugs and products:

•          Losartan
•          P-glycoprotein modulators
•          Penicillin
•          Phenytoin
•          Rapamycin
•          Talinolol

Hypersensitivity to Okavit is a contraindication. In addition, Okavit  should not be used if you have the following conditions:

•          Allergic reactions
•          Diabetes
•          Hepatic encephalopathy
•          Hormone-sensitive conditions such as breast cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, endometriosis, or uterine fibroids
•          Obstructive jaundice
•          Primary biliary cirrhosis
